Polish TBH Kings Cross, Howler and Parseltongue |
Good afternoon! Sorry I didn't post yesterday, t'was a bit under the weather. But ttodayyyy I have 3 polishes from Polish TBH's Diagon Alley Collection! I know a lot of people love Harry Potter so this will be fun to swatch for ya! As for me, I never was "obsessed" with HP. I remember being into the books through middle and high school and watching the first 4 movies though! I'm not a fantasy type ;] Anyways... I digress!

Kings Cross is a "
light blue crelly with red, green, & blue color shifting flakies and mix of white & blue holo glitters". I knew with my nail line and a broken nail mended with Orly Nail Repair, building this up wouldn't be so pretty LOL Soooo I opted to layer it over Zoya Blu - perfect match. The glitter didn't seem super packed in and scarce but gave it a light, airy feel in the sparkly light blue base.
I did 2 coats of Kings Cross over Zoya Blu. Application was smooth and without issues. Again glitter was scarce, but still gave a nice effect. I think I needed to let the bottle rest upside down from settling in the mail to be honest. If you're planning to build up the crelly, make sure to wait between coats! :]

Howler is a "
glow in the dark tan crelly with multiple sizes and shapes of red metallic glitter and gold flakies". I totally had a brainfart and forgot this was glow in the dark, but Polish TBH has a nice shot of the glow action on her FB page,
here. This isn't a great color for me, a little too much on the orange side but it is a very unique color nonetheless. It's almost a rich caramel shade of tan. I really like the gold shimmer!
I did 3 coats of Howler, plus top coat because it dries slightly matte. The application was easy to work with and easy to build up. Dry time gave me no issues either. This seemed to have more glitter that was easier get on the nail this time around.

This is
Parseltongue, my favorite of the 3, a "
black jelly with 3 sizes of green holo, silver metallic and micro scattered holo". The squishy jelly creates an awesome depth and the deep black allows the metallic awesomeness to shine through!
I did 3 coats of Parseltongue. It was an easy jelly to work with and build up without undies. I would wait between coats to ensure each layer is dry to avoid slippage, otherwise I had no dry time issues at all :]
I believe this collection is now available for preorder of any of these Harry Potter lacquers tickle your fancy!
Have a great day!
