Cold as Ice, and Lip Service

Hey! Hey! Hey! Today I have more swatches of polishes from Killer Queen Varnish. If you missed the first 4 polishes, you can check them out here! I have 2 more glitter toppers, a sparkly pretty and a fun jelly to show you after the jump :]

Flowers on the Wall is a "peachy polish with flashes of green in the light". You can see the flashes in my macro, they weren't easy to see in my lightbox :X This is a super sparkly polish and it's my favorite out of the 4. However, if I wasn't tan I think it would look a lot different! haha

I did 3 coats of Flowers on the Wall. Application was smooth and easy to work with. Dry time was good, but I reccomend making sure the coats under are dry or there is a little tugging that occurs.

White Light/White Heat is a clear base filled with "large and medium white hexes, small black hexes, black dots and black holo dots with a silver shimmer". The shimmer comes from micro flakies within the base, without them this polish would bore me to death IMHO haha.  I had a hard time getting the holo dots out, which I would of liked more of, but everything else came out nicely in each coat.

I did 2 coats of White Light/White Heat over Sinful Colors Beverly Hills. I could of got away with 1 coat but I was curious LOL. Application was a little thick but proved worthy when it came to glitter packed coats of polish. I might add thinner next time.

I really like this one, the glitter mix is awesome and fun! Cold as Ice is a clear base filled with "white hexes, a variety of blue hexes, silver hexes, and small blue bar glitter". Again, I think it's the iridescence that sold me LOL damn sparklies get me every time! I think this polish would look great over a number of undies, but I chose a blue to bring out the blue flashes from the glitter.

I did 1 coat of Cold as Ice over China Glaze Secret Peri-Wink-Le. Application was a little on the thick side, I will be adding thinner next time. It did help grab the glitter out of the bottle but it made it difficult to spread on coats. I already talked to Sommer about this, she said she will be fixing it! Dry time gave me no issues.

Lip Service is a "hot pink jelly sprinkled with small black hexes". Very basic, but still really fun.  Another favorite in this post.  Any lighter or darker I don't think I would of liked it but the shade of pink is just awesome and hot pink enough for me to tolerate :P

I did 2 coats of Lip Service. It was easy to reach opacity. This had the best formula out of all the polishes I reviewed for Killer Queen Varnish. Application was super smooth and easy to work with and dry time was great.

Watermelon nail art using Killer Queen Varnish Lip Service

I realized I've done a fruit mani every summer I've blogged (2012: Strawberries, 2013: Lemons). Then, I realized I haven't done one yet hahaha so Lip Service presented the perfect opportunity to do a watermelon mani! (Quite a step in the right direction from my first watermelon mani, eh?) I used Ruby Wing Rodeo as the lighter part of the rind, Sinful Colors Strapped as the rind and China Glaze Tree Hugger for the stirpes.
