Bad Moon Rising, and Strange Love

Hey ya'll! Today I have swatch and review of Killer Queen Varnish's Fall Collection. This collection is fun! It's perfect if you're looking for Halloween polishes without being toooooo Halloween. I really like them and I can't wait to share them with you! I actually went to a "polish party" hosted by Killer Queen Varnish last weekend. First I've ever been invited/gone to. Ya'll know indie polishes have a special place in my heart, and on my blog! This blog would be nothing without indies, that's for dayummm sure! Made my little black heart smile to see regular people, not nail polish freaks, so excited over indie polish. :']

So jump on over so I can share these creations with you!

Feed My Frankenstein (I keep saying FRAN-KEN-STEEN in my head lmfao) is a "green crelly consisting of small black hexes and micro purple and grey hexes". Holy crap this color was hard to capture on camera, I apologize for the various shades of green you see -.- It's more like the 2nd and 3rd picture, it's not bright at all! More like pale, green Frankenstein flesh, k? *facepalm* My phone deceived me! This is the one I was most excited for. I love the purple glitters against the green :] Great Halloween polish without being over the top.

I did 2 coats of Feed My Frankenstein, plus top coat. It dries a little gritty from all the glittaaahhh, so a top coat is a must for a shiny finish! No issues upon application - it was nice and easy to work with. Dry time was also great.

Ever since I swatched this polish last night, I've had Red Red Wine stuck in my head LOL. Red Red Wine is a filled with "ruby red micro glitters in a wine jelly base". My friend Hannah loved this polish, I can see why!  It's pretty freakin' gorgeous! The bright, red glitter against the deep, dark base. Great for Halloween, great for the holidays coming up. I really want to do a blood drip mani with this! Hmmm...

I did 2 coats of Red Red Wine, plus top coat. Like the polish above, there's a ton of glitter, it dries a little bit gritty so a top coat is necessary for shine! Application was a dream and gave me no issues. Dry time was also without issues :]

Killer Queen Varnish Witchy Woman

Witchy Woman is "full of black shards, small fuchsia hexes, a sparse amount of larger fuchsia dots for a little extra sparkle all in a dark purple jelly base" The shards were a little bit hard to photograph, but they're in there! I like the mixes of glitter in this polish, it really adds depth and texture against the jelly base. Awesome deep, grapey purple, too!

I did 2 coats of Witchy Woman, plus top coat to smooth out the glitter. Application was no issue and glitter came out nicely without fishing around. I would recommend waiting a little bit between coats due to the jelly base.

I'm not having good luck with photographing these greens! Poor, Mitzi haha Anyways, Bad Moon Rising is "a glitter topper containing black shards, orange hexes, small black hexes, and micro orange hexes in a clear base". I like this one because you can make this as Halloweeny as you'd like depending what color you layer it over.

I did 2 coats of Bad Moon Rising over Zoya Mitzi. Application was smooth and easy to work with. Glitter coverage was great and there were no issues brushing it on. Dry time also was without problems and dried quickly.

Last but not least is Strange Love, a "reddish-purple holographic nail polish". If you missed out on You Polish's Holoday in Heels, I feel like this color is very similar to that! Anyways, I love these types of holos because they are perfect for everyday wear but add a little bit extra when you hit the sunlight :) If I had a job, I'd wear this there (SAN DIEGO? YOU? ME? HIRE ME THANKS!) hahaha.

I did 2 coats of Strange Love. Application was smooth and super easy to work with. There was no issues with dry time either. I took a shower 10 minutes after putting this on my nails and there was no sign of wear! Impressive, to say the least.
