You Polish October Sub Box featuring polishes from
Alter Ego and Northern Star |
Hi guys! Today I have the You Polish October Sub Box to share with you! This differs a little bit from her regular sub box because it includes polishes from 2 other Indie brands. This box goes on sale tomorrow and will include a You Polish, Alter Ego, and Northern Star polish. I was super excited to swatch this because the 2 other brands are new to me :] Check out these fall inspired pretties after the jump!

First up is Autumn Acai, a deep purple linear holographic. This one is super pretty! (DUH, because I'm obsessed with purple this year) It's a great deep purple for fall, or sparkly fun for all year. I used 2 coats of Autumn Acai. I had no issues with application. It was smooth to apply and quick to dry!

A new brand for the You Polish Sub Box is Alter Ego. I've heard about this brand for some time, just I've never pulled the trigger haha. Alter Ego A-Maize-Ing is a matte golden, yellow, (I think of mustard! In a good way haha) with super sparkly holographic glitter throughout. I prefer it with top coat, what do you think? I did 2 coats of A-Maize-Ing. It was a little thick to apply, I added a few drops of thinner and it did help some. It seemed a little uneven after it dried, which is why I prefer it with top coat. PLUS the top coat bring out the glitter more ;) Dry time gave me no issues at all, pretty quick actually!

Third addition to the You Polish October Sub Box is Northern Star Polish Get Up & Leaf. I love the play on words! Get Up and Leaf is a dark brown with gold, purple and orange glitter throughout. I was most excited to try this one because of the color mix! To be honest, I really liked it more in the bottle and I wish the glitter was more pronounced. Nonetheless, the color is super perfect for fall and great if you're not looking for too much sparkle.

I took a quick shot of them in the sun, really brings out the gorgeous sparkle!
