DIY Nail Art: Marbling WITHOUT Water

Pin It I don't know if anyone else has experienced the frustration of water marbling... but I, myself, straight up, 110% suck at it. I've tried maybe 4 or 5 times and I just feel like I'm wasting polish.  So I've given up on marbling totally

Orly posted on their Facebook a few months ago a "marbling technique". Got bored today and decided to try! I'd say it came out pretty well, and it's A HUNDRED THOUUUUSAND|DDDDD times easier than water marbling! And MUCHHHH less of a mess! What do you think?? I'm a fan!

Even the materials you need is easier!

--> A dotting tool or tooth pick

--> 3-4 Polishes (I don't recommend more than this but you can try!)

THAT'S IT! Now here's how to execute the DIY marbling technique:

Step 1: Apply your base coat and let it dry. (Forgive my nails haha)

Step 2: Take your colors and BLOB them on your nail, not TOO much but you want a good amount so the colors blend well without making dip marks in the polish. You can apply them in any pattern you want, horizontal stripes, vertical stripes, large dots - doesn't matter! Just get it on your nail! 

Step 3: Take your dotting tool, any size you want and drag through the blobs of polish. Make swirls, lines, whatever your little heart desires! If you end up with marks that show your nail (from the dotting tool) you can EASILY add more polish and swirl it in, just drop it wherever you want and continue marbling!

And that's IT! Crazy easy huh? No messes, well besides cleaning around your cuticles haha. I recommend doing a hand at a time, that way while you're working on the 2nd hand the 1st hand is drying. Seche Vite also comes in handy here because of the copious amounts of polish.
