I like green polish and I cannot lie. [Sinful Colors greens]

I know you guys know I love greens and blues, mostly because I've beaten a dead horse! Anyways, I already did a post on blue China Glaze polishes and I thought it would be appropriate to post some GREENS!

Sinful Colors L->R: Last Chance, Envy and Leap Flog

Swatches and a comparison after the jump!

Yes, I know there is an ordeal floating around the blogging/nail world about Sinful Colors. If you're wanting to read what happened with Sinful Colors, you can read here. Yes, I believe that they made a HORRIBLE choice to do what they did.

But, at the same time... this was happened during a 99 cent sale and I had already purchased some polishes... And being the budget that I am on -  I can't skip a 99 cent, nice quality, polish (especially because I use their polishes A LOT in nail art). *sigh* It happens?

So these are 3 greens I picked up. One I got a back up of because it is one of my favorite polishes of all time:

Sinful Colors Leap Flog

Sinful Colors Leap Flog

Nooo, I didn't spell it wrong, It's clearly printed fLog on the polish haha. I did 2 coats of this pretty green-grey creme polish. No drying issues, streaking or anything. I did find that it looked nearly identical to Essie School of Hard Rocks in the bottle. So for curioius minds, I swatched them both up:

They are VERY similar but not the same. Sinful Colors Leap Flog is slightly darker than Essie School of Hard Rocks. I wouldn't quite say you  need both though... unless you're like me haha

Sinful Colors Envy

Out of Sinful Colors Envy and Leap Flog, I was most impressed with the color of Envy. I have a LOT of greens but I don't have one similar, which is kind of surprising because its sort of a basic grassy, kelly, sort of green. I did 3 coats, I could have done 2 BUT I did have some balding in the center of my nails.

Sinful Colors Last Chance

Sinful Colors Last Chance

Sinful Colors Last Chance is one of my FAVORITE polishes of all time! I purchased it last year some time and it hasn't made another appearance until now. This is probably one of the most gorgeous dark green polishes I've ever seen. I did 2 coats and I had no issues. I DO RECOMMEND A BASE COAT, maybe even 2, because of the history I've had with this polish. It has stained every time I've used it - usually without a base coat because I get SUPER lazy haha. So, unless you want to buff your nails after using this beauty, I suggest a base coat or 2.

I love all these greens AHH! I can't ever get enough of green polishes. I used to hate them before I got back into polish, I think that's my mom's fault haha. She mentioned something about green polish looking like mold LOL. Whatever, mom! At least they'll look pretty even if people think it looks like mold!

Happy Friday, y'all!

  1. Haven't tried Leap Flog yet, but Last Chance is one of my favorite greens. Have you tried San Francisco? That's my other favorite Sinful Green!! I ♥ green. It's my favorite color!!

  2. Those greens look fantastic on you! It's sad that you went so long avoiding greens because of your mom's comment.

I'm the same way with yellow and gold polish! Someone made a comment that my nails looked gross when I was a kid and it's stuck with me ever since. I just can't wear gold or yellow and be happy with how my nails look.

  4. Wow, I came across Last Chance a few weeks ago with Cinderella when I went to my cousin's Walgreens, and didn't realize it was so popular. But when I used it, I totally knew why, it was GORGEOUS!

I can vouch for the need for two basecoats, though. I used one coat of ChG Strong Adhesion basecoat, and I ended up with moldy green nails anyway!
