Revlon Vintage Rose (left) and Maybelline Bold Gold (right)
If you want to see my review on how awesome the Revlon Colorstay polishes wear, check out my review! I also have some more swatches of the Maybelline Color Show polishes, here and here.
NOW! On to the swatches:

I had a coupon I had to use for $1 off Revlon so I decided to grab a Colorstay polish, honestly one of my favorite lines of polish (Link to my review). I'm also a sucker for mauve-y pinks, so I decided to give this one a shot. I did 2 coats, no top coat. I love how smooth like butter these Revlon polishes apply. It is a mauve-y pink, but there seems to be more brown in it than I expected there to be, which disappointed me a bit. It's still a pretty, shiny polish!

I know there are some people who don't like these Color Show polishes, but I was pretty impressed and I still am. I saw this gold and I KNEW I had to have it for detailing. I'm a huge fan of gold details in nail art. I think I have a gold for every type of gold in the gold color range haha (does that even exist? am I making stuff up?). Anyways! THIS WAS ONE FREAKING COAT GUYS! This is a TRUE gold, I honestly think it is one of the best gold polishes I own. It does go on a little streaky but it evens out well when it dries. I'm wondering... I don't have it to compare... but, could this be pretty similar to the gold in Essies Mirror Metallics Collection?
I picked up both of these at Walmart. The Maybelline Color Show polish was $2.97 and I'm pretty sure the Revlon Colorstay was around $4.99 (Yeah, skip the drugstores on this polish. Why on earth do they charge almost $8!?)
Have a happy weekend,
PS: How spiffy is that? Thanks iPhone!
pretty gold polish!!!
