ZOYA Fall 2012 NYFW Designer Swatches

Zoya 2012 Fall Designer Collection

It's about time, huh? *sigh* sorry for the delay! Hope you enjoy :]

First up are the reds and purples:

Zoya Rekha, Zoya Toni and Zoya Monica

Zoya Rekha

Rekha is described by Zoya as a "bold medium blood red with glossy finish". They're right about the glossy finish, this baby doesn't need a top coat for shine that's for sure! The first thing I thought of when I had this polish on was red berries, like holly berries. This might be a runner up to Zoya Sooki, one of my favorite reds. I did 3 coats of Rekha because of the glossy finish (a creme and jelly hybrid is what I'm thinking) it made it harder to kill the visible nail line.

The one downfall to this polish for me was the clean up. If you use a clean up brush, like I do, it bleeds and floods like crazy *sigh* it's okay though! WORTH IT.

Zoya Toni

Toni is a "dark, warm raisin-wine creme with strong purple undertones"... a "muted purple". Do they make wine out of raisins? Haha I don't know but this is an awesome color! A true creme polish that was good to go in 2 coats, what I'm used to with Zoya polishes. I'm a big fan of these raisin-y purple colors. Great color for fall, I think! :]

Zoya Monica

I don't usually buy purples, but it seems whenever I get one - I like them! (I think I said that about Julep Morgan haha) Monica is a "dark, soft, blue toned purple with a glossy creme finish". Such a pretty dark purple! This is definitely not as glossy as Rekha but still glossy.  I did 2 coats of Monica and all was good with application.

Next up are the blues and greens:

Zoya Natty, Zoya Evvie, and Zoya Noot

Zoya Natty

Natty was one of the Designer polishes I was most looking forward to. A "smoky deep steel blue with opaque creme finish". I have a thing for smoky blues, I won't lie! I did have some balding in the middle of my nail which resulted in 2.5 coats (.5 a coat would be a thin layer to cover up balding but not enough to consider it to cover the nail). Another true creme polish and a great fall color, not to mention a great blue!

Zoya Evvie

Evvie is a "dark smoky greye creme with strong teal green undertones". I like this polish for the fact that in some lights you can see it as a green-grey creme but in other light it looks like a dark grey polish. Great color, reminds me of a military green. Great application and was good in 2 coats!

Zoya Noot

Last but not least is Noot, which is described as a "very dark grey creme with strong blue-green undertones". This polish screams fall to me and is quite a unique color, I can't think of one in my collection quite like it. Noot's application was similar to Natty's, 2.5 coats because of balding in the center of the nail. Great color, I didn't think I wasn't going to like it much!

Can't decide just ONE Zoya Designer Collection color to wear? Haha take my route:

Zoya Designer Ombre

Above is an ombre sponge manicure using Toni, Natty and Evvie. Evvie is down by the base and is kind of hard to see, but it's there! ;]

You can find the Zoya Designer Collection and the other parts to the collection, here. Each Zoya polish retails for $8/bottle or $48/6 Designer/Diva collection and $24 for the Gloss trio.

Hope you guys have a great weekend and I hope you enjoyed these swatches. I'm sorry they're kind of delayed :[ Moving and nail breaks put a bump in my swatching schedule! I will have the Diva and Gloss collection coming up for you soon :]

Happy Sunday!
