Again, Thanks to Finger Painting Fingers for forming a great way for the nail polish community to spread awareness of breast cancer! Make sure to check out the other bloggers at the end of the post!
Here are this weeks 3 facts about breast cancer. You MUST read them before you move on to my pretty swatches :]
1) "Over 40,000 people will die this year; about 400 of them will be men". Breast Cancer Awareness
2) "It is estimated that 5% to 10% of breast cancers can be attributed to genetic predisposition". BCA Campaign
3) "The chance of a woman being diagnosed with breast cancer some time during her life is 1 in 8". BCA Campaign
Now, onto my review of the Breast Cancer Awareness Duo by Makeup Your Face:

Here's a quick close up of the glittery pink duo:

Enjoy the swatches! Here is Fight Like a Girl:

Lauren describes Fight Like a girl as a polish "packed with pink micro glitter, pink holographic glitter, matte pink glitter, holographic silver glitter, white hexagons, and white and pink hearts". This is a very, very glittery polish!
I did 2 coats of Fight Like a Girl over Ulta Pink Marble, which is a frosty medium pink. It was slightly thick, but very manageable. I think the thick base helps get to the heart glitter, as you can see there are 3 on my nails. If you are going to layer, make sure to allow dry time between each coat. 1 coat of Seche Vite makes it smooth, it also helps with drying time.
Here is Fight Like a Girl's counterpart, Think Pink.
First I layered it over China Glaze Traffic Jam:

How did you take that one in? Think Pink is my favorite out of the two. Lauren describes Think Pink as "snowy rainbow glitters of two sizes in a squishy, shiny pink base". This polish is so pretty and glitzy!
I did 1 coat over China Glaze Traffic Jam in the first set pictures. Then, I did 3 coats of Think Pink with no undies. The polish was thinner than I thought it would be, which was helpful when it came to coverage. However, I do recommend some dry time due to the jelly base. I love the amount of clear iridescent glitter in this polish! Does this remind anyone else of a glitter placement manicure? For some reason it reminds me of one haha.

DeleteI totally love Fight Like A Girl. Also: Best possible slogan. I loved that from the first time I heard it.
ReplyDeleteIt is an awesome slogan! I like FLG too and I don't even like pink hahaha
DeleteThe color is okay but for me, I prefer a lighter shade with less glitters. So it will look more natural =)
