Today I have Quartz by Makeup Your Face to show you! This top coat is an interesting way to spice up any polish. Check it out!

Quartz is a multifaceted mineral that can be found in many different colors. take a look how the polish version of Quartz changes these polish colors!

Lauren describes Quartz as a "multi colored fleck top coat", which is basically a chunky Mylar flakie top coat. I did 1 coat over each color (China Glaze Elephant Walk, Revlon Really Rosy, and Zoya Cynthia) plus a coat of Seche Vite. Out of all the colors I layered over I think the combo with Zoya Cynthia is my favorite. SO pretty!

I know we've seen a lot of flakie top coats, I can't compare this to the Fingerpaints Flakies or I Lily Love You by OPI. These are more chunky and irregular, to me it reminds me of those marbled bowling balls haha. This is something I haven't seen before polish-wise and I love the look!

This was a little on the thick side but it is easy to apply and has great coverage. I do warn you, when layering over undies, make sure it is TOTALLY dry (or even top coated) before you apply Quartz. The color tends to slide off as you make brush strokes if the base color isn't totally dry yet. Otherwise, no complaints!
