Good eveninggggg, here's some pretties for your Saturday night viewing pleasure!

L->R: Makeup Your Face Devious, Betrayal and Treachery

It seems like everyone is hopping onto the color shifting top coats bandwagon. Everyone but me. LOL I don't know why they never appealed to me, yeah they're unique... yeah they can make your polishes look different, add a little depth and such... but, I just never was WOWed over them.

Until I finally got my little fingers on some and gave them a shot for myself. *sigh* Oh, Lacey. When will you learn?

L->R: Makeup Your Face Devious, Betrayal and Treachery

Makeup Your Face has had her Deception Collection up for awhile, probably the middle of the summer. While these aren't something new to her store, they do seem to becoming more popular in the nail world than they were a few months ago.

Each of these polishes are color shifting, shimmery, duo chrome top coats. I didn't swatch these over black, that's too easy. I also apologize if my hands look more dry/red than normal, I couldn't use the same lighting or backgrounds I am use to in order to catch the color shifts properly!

First up is Devious:

Devious shifts from purple to blue. I was really in love with how it looked over No More Film! I'm trying to layer these over simliar colors than the shifts are PLUS am additional random color ;]

Next is Betrayal:

Betrayal shifts from a purple/fuchsia color to gold. I can't decide what one out of the Betrayal set is my favorite! I think this is my favorite top coat out of the set though. Does this remind anyone else of the color shift in Hard Candy Beetle or Orly Space Cadet?

Last but not least, Treachery:

Treachery has a green to a yellow-ish shift. I think over the navy blue is my favorite :]

As Makeup Your Face says, "They look clear, but they're deceptive!". I think these top coats are a fun way to spice up any manicure, bring something a little different to the table! I really want to try mixing them INTO a polish one day and see what that looks like :o

I didn't have any application issues with any of them, all went on smooth, even and dried decently fast. Each swatch was done with one coat of either Devious, Betrayal or Treachery and no clear top coat after.
