Nerd Lacquer Cyance Friction
So, in honor of her coming back - I'm busting out my favorite Nerd Lacquer, and my all time favorite polish: Cyance Friction! Pictures and such after the jump!
The ironic thing was, on Instagram the other day, (If you follow me you know I do a photo a day post, which I've almost done for 365 days! I haven't missed a day yet!), for my photo a day post the theme was "a favorite thing". And I posted the above picture for that day. Two of my friends even asked me when she was coming back!
So with the news of her bringing back Nerd Lacquer - I nearly peed my pants when I found out. I had come to terms last month that I had to "take off" NL as my favorite Indie since she fell off the earth. But of all time? Nerd Lacquer and Hare Polish are tied for the #1 Indie spot in my heart haha.
Cyance Friction is possibly the most unique Indie polish that I own. I can't even find another in my entire RACK full of indies to compare it to. It just has that something about it:
How could you NOT fall in love with that?

The base of Cyance Friction is bright turquoise cyan color that POPS with some copper shimmer. Inside you can find small and medium copper hex and turquoise/cyan squares that match the base. But the BEST PART about this polish?! The amazingly awesome bright violet flash this polish has to it. I can't! I just CAN'T. This polish kills me every time haha. I haven't worn it (or the others) since April in fear she might not come back.
Above was 2 coats with no undies. I love the formula and application of this polish. I never have an issue with Nerd Lacquer glitters being hard to apply. I love how everything settles JUST RIGHT on the nail and the finish and feel of the polish always feel ssupppper smooth. Everything was smooth, the glitter coverage was great, and it has an manageable dry time. I'm hoping the dry time is something that will be better when she comes back ;]
I do not have any more information than what is in this Google+ post. I suggest, if you want to keep up with the potential coming back of Nerd Lacquer, to stay tuned to that Google+ page. Or, keep tabs on Ninja Polish. You can find Ninja Polish's Facebook, here, and website, here.
Of course, my condolences go out to Amanda and her family. It's sad things like that must happen to all of us eventually And there's no way that it easy to go through it. When things are bad, things can only get better.
I know people are worried about the incomplete orders she had, and gift certificates that were gifts from friends never redeemed. Hopefully she will have something to say about that and will fix those issues. I never had a problem with my order from Nerd Lacquer, so I can't speak about any issues. I'm just hoping she can make that right, I know a lot of people were frustrated with that.
If you're interested in swatches, from wayyyy at the beginning of the year, I have of Nerd Lacquer, click here. :] Those swatch picture are nothing to write home about haha, but they're there if you want them!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
*cries* I love the names and the colors and they're so pretty, but just a tad pricey for me. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy she is back! She makes my favourite indies of all times, but I never got a chance to buy them...I hope she brings back the old ones, cause I still need All of Time and Space, Holy Grail, Cyance Friction, The Quantum Blueniverse and god knows what else! xD
ReplyDeletewow it's really unique and pretty!

Amazing color :)
ReplyDeleteThis. Is. Gorgeous! I'm so happy to see Amanda venturing back into the polish world, and I really do wish her all the best. If she does start creating again (and I can't even imagine how many of us are crossing our fingers like crazy that she will continue her plans to!), I foresee some serious damage to my wallet. ^_^
