COLOR CLUB: Port-Folio

Pin It Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been in a really strange funk and I've also been super stressed that my surgery pushed my schoolwork back more than I thought :-\ But life goes on.

So here is the post I meant to post yesterday but couldn't bring myself to write up haha. This is a polish from Color Club's Fall 2012 In True Fashion Collection called Port-Folio. This was the only one in that collection that stood out to me, I mean can you see why!? I've had this one for awhile now but I kept forgetting about it (story of my life)! Swatches after the jump.

When I had originally seen the bottle I was like "Oh mannnn here we go again! Another damn duochrome that comes across dead on the nail!" UNTIL, swatches of this beauty started popping up! I was shocked, amazed, and speechless all at the same time. I KNEW I had to have it!

Let me just say this: Port-Folio is one of THE PRETTIEST polishes I've ever worn. I tried so hard to capture the duochrome effect. It came across pretty well in my pictures, but it's much stronger in person. I think this is the first time I haven't been disappointed by a duochrome. ANYWHO, Port-Folio is a beautiful purple with strong green flashes. To get an idea, the bottle shows true I think. My pictures are a little off D:

I did 2 coats for full opacity. Smooth formula and fast drying too! I always forget how much I like Color Club's polishes until I wear one haha SHAME.

To kick it up a notch I ended up layering:

Color Club Port-Folio and Sinful Colors Green Ocean

As amazing as Port-Folio is on its own, a coat Green Ocean gave it a little extra awesome. :]
