[CLOSED] GLITTER GUILTY: March Subscription Box (PLUS GIVEAWAY! 3/19 - 2/26)

Glitter Guilty March Subscription Box

Today I'm going to review another subscription box for you guys! BUT, this one is an indie subscription box :] Jump on over to learn more about Glitter Guilty and take a peek at my swatches!

It's about time we've seen an indie subscription box don't you think? Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the March box from Glitter Guilty.

Glitter Guilty March Indie Subscription Box

Each month you can count on finding these items in your box:
  1. "One full size “Monthly Me” polish, a custom polish made specifically according to your profile". On their website, you specify what colors, finishes, glitter, ect. that you like and dislike and a polish will be mixed according to those specifications. I thought this was a pretty neat idea!
  2. "Your box will also include the “Monthly Mini”, a mini sized polish that goes out to every subscriber". I'm guessing this is a little more like Julep, SquareHue and other subscription services, a polish specially made for that month.
  3. "You’ll also see one or two guilty pleasures in your box each month. In months cool enough, it will be a piece or two of artisan chocolate".  WHO DOESN'T LIKE SWEETS?!
  4. "A few boxes each month will have a “Golden Ticket” inside, good for some fun surprises, so keep an eye out for those!"
(You can find more about the monthly boxes, here). I think this is a cool spin on monthly boxes. Not only do you get the special monthly polish, but you also get a polish specially made for you. I think this cuts down on the disappointment some people experience with subscriptions.

These are the polishes I received in my March box:

Glitter Guilty March Indie Subscription Box
(L->R) Glitter Guilty Look Out Below!, Rocky Road to Dublin

And a close up of my pretties:

When Jessica made my full sized custom, this is what I told her: "I hate pink, white based polishes and frosty finishes... I'm pretty much in love with anything NOT those things I love green and blue though!" And here's the custom she tailored to my {picky} polish needs:

Glitter Guilty Look Out Below! over Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Glitter Guilty Look Out Below! over Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Glitter Guilty Look Out Below! over Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Look Out Below is a mixture of turquoise and light blue, matte and sparkly glitter with hexes, diamonds of different sizes in a clear base. I really enjoyed the diamonds, they always suck me in though haha. I'd say this was pretty tailored to my specifications I gave! I like it, but I'm not in love with it. It's a cute polish, but personally I don't find it to be crazy unique.

I did 2 coats of LOB over Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I found this polish to have a good glitter coverage, dry time and it was also a breeze to apply. No complaints from Lacey today!

I actually liked the monthly mini better!

Glitter Guilty Rocky Road to Dublin over Zoya Shawn
Glitter Guilty Rocky Road to Dublin over Zoya Shawn
Glitter Guilty Rocky Road to Dublin over Zoya Shawn (sorry it's so pink!)
I like this one so much better! maybe It's the green? Or the bars? I'm not sure why, I just like it more haha. Rocky Road to Dublin is the monthly mini found in Glitter Guilty's March Box. It is made up of shiny green bar, green hex of two sizes, gold hex, and brown hex. I just dig this mixture so much!

I did 2 coats of RRTD over Zoya Shawn. Again, this had a good glitter coverage, dry time and application. I have nothing bad to say about either of these polish mixes, they are good indies.

So, in short: I had no issues with either of these polishes. They both were decent indies with great applications and dry times. I think when it boils down to it this monthly box really depends on what you specify your "Monthly Me" polish to be. I'm thinking the more specific the better. I think this is worth a shot, to be honest.

You can find more information about Glitter Guilty down below. Each month is $15.99/month including shipping. You can choose between a month-to-month, 3, or 6 month subscription (which you may cancel anytime). This is currently only available in the US (however, the giveaway is international). The subscription box is available INTERNATIONALLY. Jessica was kind to let me know! When you subscribe internationally, you must go through the "gift" option, versus the subscribe option. In addition to monthly boxes, Glitter Guilty also sells polishes. You can find them on her website!

OH! And the chocolate wasn't half bad either ;] DARK CHOCOLATE, FTW! hahaha
