[CLOSED] YOU POLISH: Cuticle Oil & Stuck Up Base Coat (PLUS GIVEAWAY!)

How are ya'll doin on this fine and dandy Tuesday? Is it Friday yet? haha

You Polish Cuticle Oil and Stuck Up Base Coat

Not sure if you've heard, but Makeup Your Face is now You Polish! In addition to the name change and 2 new collections coming out, You Polish is adding scented Cuticle Oil and Stuck Up Base Coat to her shop. I have a little reviewy-view and a small giveaway for you after the jump!

You Polish Scented Cuticle Oil
I'm not a big fan of cuticle oils, I usually stick with balms because they tend to moisturize my dry skin better I think. I gave You Polish's Pomegranate Cuticle Oil a shot though! I used it for about a week in place of my balms (you can see in the back lmao).

In You Polish's Cuticle Oil you will find: Jojoba Oil, Vitamin A, Calcium, Sass flower Oil, Pineapple Oil, Grape-seed Oil & Sesame Oil. In addition, Lauren also told me she was adding Biotin to the oil (per my suggestion haha)!

So, as I was saying - I used the Cuticle Oil for a week in place of my balms. I tend to moisturize a lot during the day, more often in the past month. The Cuticle Oil had a nice fruity scent to it, although fruity scents aren't my favorite, it wasn't unpleasant. I really like that this oil absorbed fast and didn't make my fingers looking like I ate fried chicken. It's been a lifesaver while swatching! However, I didn't find it to be as moisturizing as my balms. That's just me though, keep in mind I have crazy dry skin lol.

Currently You Polish offers 3 scents of Cuticle Oil: Pomegranate, Peach and Pineapple.  I didn't use the Peach or Pineapple but I can tell you they smell equally as fruity! I was told she will be offering some new scents in the future as well. They come in a convenient (and fashionable) roller-ball applicator, which is great if you're on the go. You can find these for $3.50 in You Polish's Etsy.

You Polish Stuck Up Base Coat
I don't know about you guys, I'm always in the market to buy and try new base coats! I don't think I've consistently used the same one in a long time honestly. So I was excited to try a new one out, especially a base coat from an Indie. I usually buy my base coats at Sally's so this was a change!

The trick to the Stuck Up Base Coat is to apply it as the base coat is still drying and is slightly "tacky". I found it easier to do 2 nails at a time. I did this to make sure it wouldn't dry completely on the other nails as I was putting on my polish. It didn't affect the drying time of my polish either, which I was pleasantly surprised with.

The results? I gave this a good run, I wore it for 4 days straight (WHAT?!?!) along with a coat of Seche Vite top coat. I'm not soft on my nails, I do housework, I do the dishes, ect. While my nail breaking and polish chipping IS on my mind, it's not my main focus when I'm doing something, and I figure it'll just happen anyways haha. Let me just tell you... 4 days NO CHIPS and very minor tip wear on 1 finger. The best part? I had already FILED MY NAILS TWICE with the polish on, and it still didn't chip! That blew me out of the water. I normally file my nails down with polish to keep an even shape. And, when I do I usually get chips from daily life or water getting under the polish. I didn't have any of those issues with this base coat.

Stuck Up is not available in You Polish's shop yet, but it should be rather soon. And you can bet your butt I will be purchasing a bottle or 2 of this base coat. :]

In addition to me reviewing You Polish's Cuticle Oil, Lauren was nice enough to send 2 bottles for YOU to try out! YAY!
