Today I finished the first half of my MTE course. My brain is such mush from cramming 6 months of work into 3 months. SO, hopefully I'll continue to ruin it with polish fumes and you'll see me more ;]

You Polish We All Scream for Nail Polish Collection |
Today I'm reviewing the We All Scream for Nail Polish Collection by You Polish! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you already had a sneak peek ;] This 6 set of polishes are inspired by ICE CREAM! Even better? They freakin' smell like ice cream! If that doesn't get the party started, well... I don't know what to tell you haha
Swatches, review and such after the jump!
Here some fancy macros:
So, let's jump on into the first polish!

It really does remind me of Funfetti cake! Usually those named after birthday cake seemed to be white based (maybe it's just me?) so it was nice to see another base used! Birthday Cake Surprise is a "
creamy yellow based polish containing red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple hexagons". This one is scented like cake! For me it was faint but I could tell it was there.
I did 2 coats of BCS with no undies. The dry time, application, and glitter coverage were all great with this one. No problems here! Also, I found this to have the best dry time out of the lighter colored polishes.

This one was one of my favorites! I'm not a fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream, BUT I do enjoy it as a polish :P Choco-Mint Chip is a "
minty green polish filled with black hexagons and squares". I love squaressssss and minty green polishesssss! :] The scent of this one was chocolate and mint, reminded me of an Andes candy!
I did 3 coats of CCM. I could of done it in 2 if I planned well haha. It was a little too blotchy at 2 for my tastes and 3 hit the spot. Again, no issues with this one. As you can see glitter coverage was great! Along with dry time and application.

Ummm is anyone else thinking about those amazing Reece's Peanut Butter Cup Eggs now? Totally regretting not buying any last week haha. Peanut Butter Cup is a "sheer creamy light tan-ish base that contains brown and coffee colored hexagons". Totally smelled like Reece's Puffs to me!
I did 2 coats of PBC over white. I attempted to layer it on it's own, but it was still pretty sheer at 2 coats so I decided to layer it over white instead of attempting 3. The application was good, smooth and no issues. I had to swirl the brush a bit to get the glitter, but I think that's mostly due to the mini sized bottle haha. The dry time on this one was okay, not the greatest but if you allow it to dry between coats I don't see any issues.

I think Lauren did a great job with this one, it totally looks like strawberry ice cream! Strawberry Jubilee is made up of a "creamy light pink polish containing matte and satin red shreds with a hint of bright red squares". This one also has a strawberry scent to it!
I did 2 coats of SJ, no undies. It had a smooth application, the perfect glitter coverage to channel strawberry ice cream, and a good dry time. No complaints from me!

Another great looking, "ice cream". Look just like peach ice cream (and peach yogurt hahaha) to me :] Peach Sundae is a "creamy orangey base containing orange/yellow shreds". I actually like this shade of peach, all the ones I own are more on the orange side. It has a peach scent, sadly like peach food flavors it's kinda artificial smelling.
I did 3 coats of PS on it's own. The application was very similar to Strawberry Jubilee, smooth application, good glitter coverage. This one didn't have the best dry time either, but with patience it is possible.

And here's one of my favorite ice creams, good 'ol cookies and cream! This polish is a "
white based polish containing medium and large black hexagons and black diamonds". While I'm not a
huge fan white based glitters, I do find this one on the unique side. This one has a sweet, vanilla sent to it.
I did 2 coats of C&C over a white polish. I tried 3 coats alone and it was still sheer and I was running into some balding, white undies solved the problem! This had a smooth application, I didn't need to fish for the diamonds or large hex, and the dry time wasn't too bad. If you're going to layer on it's own it does need a little more patience when it comes to drying.
While all these polishes
are scented, you can also request to have them mixed without scent too! If you do buy them scented, it is best to wear them (insert large gasp here) without top coat to keep the smell.
Now go eat a bowl of ice cream, you know you want one!

Ooh, those shards. *_* That was definitely something I was surprised never seemed to really catch on as a big trend, the way circle glitter did.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Finally an ice cream inspired polish range which really looks like ice cream! nom nom :3
