Hello there! Today I'm going to show you Bondi New York's NYPD. You might of saw me tease on Facebook that I had swatched a Bondi 1-coater, well here she is! After the jump I have swatch, review and some nail art :]

I had a hard time choosing what color to pick from Bondi's website. While I don't feel their current selection is too unique, there are some nice basic colors. I decided to go with a blue, because I love blue :P

NYPD is a bright blue reminiscent of the color in the NYPD logo.  I feel like this is one of those blues you're like "I think I have a blue that is the same" but in reality, when you go and try to match the bottle to the 234203 other blues you own, it's quite unique.

And yes, you heard me right, ladies and gents! A 1-coater. With a blue that stunning, being 1 coat on the nail is just icing on the cake! The application was smooth and opaque, I was quite pleased. Clean up was a bit of a hassle around the cuticle areas but it did not stain the nails after 2 days of wear with NO base coat - PHEW! Haha I took quite a risk on that one, I know...

I really wanted to do a gradient with this one, something about it screamed gradient. I was going to reach for a yellow, y'know NYPD colors but decided for something else at the last minute:

You can kind of see what I mean about clean up around my cuticles, I scrubbed and scrubbed! Didn't stain my nails though, so I'm not too mad :P

Anyways, I really look forward to trying more of Bondi's polishes after being pleased with NYPD. As more brands seem to pop up with high price points I was quite hesitant about trying Bondi's polish, but I was VERY happy with the results. I was also happy that they announced a week or two ago that they were permanently dropping their prices from $15 to $12.50, every penny right ladies? Haha :] If you're looking for discounts and giveaways I'd check their Facebook, they run them quite often!
