SERUM NO. 5: Lei Down the Law, Twilight Sparks, & As a Matte'A Fact

Serum No. 5 (L->R) Lei Down the Law, Twilight Sparks, As a Matte'A Fact

Hi guys! Today I have a look at 3 new polishes by Serum No. 5. I also have 3 others to show you, but those will come at a later date :] Take a look for swatch, review, glittery and glow in the dark goodness!

First up is Lei Down the Law:

Serum No. 5 Lei Down the Law - glow in the dark

Lei Down the Law is a neon matte glitter plus matte grey and black glitter, glow in the dark glitter topper. I felt kind of stupid because I thought this was a grey-white base sorta polish. It looks like the color I thought I saw is what makes the polish glow in the dark, that's my guess at least!

I did 1 coat over LuxeCoat Purple Rain. There was no issue with application and there was a good amount of glitter in 1 coat, so if you're looking to make it opaque I don't see an issue. The dry time was also pretty quick! I think if I used more coats, the glow would be brighter. I was quite intrigued by the white glow.

As a dark green polish lover, I really love this polish! Especially because it looks awesome with the matte finish it has or with added top coat. Twilight Sparks is a deep green with gold. While this polish is pretty stunning on it's own with the matte finish, it seriously comes alive with top coat.

I did 2 coats of Twilight Sparks, no undies, with and without top coat - as seen above. There was some hesitant dragging on the 2nd coat, but nothing substantial, but worth noting. It dries pretty quickly too and the coats are quite opaque.

This was my absolute favorite out of the trio today. This is my first indie made matte top coat, well it's more of a suede finish than a true matte finish. What I like about this is that it's a twist on the regular finish-changing top coat, it has small pearly white flakies in it. I showed it over a range of colors, it really works with just about any color!

I did 1 coat over China Glaze With Love, Sinful Colors Black on Black, Zoya Regan, SinfulShine Sinful Colors Rendezvous. Application was smooth, dried in good time, no issues with this one!
