Femme Fatale Cosmetics Spring Fling and Sparkleshell |
Hope everyone had a good 4th of July/Thursday! Today I'm super stoked to share with you 2 polishes by Femme Fatale Cosmetics (AUS). I've been dying to try this brand (like 10k others lmao) so I was super excited and honored when I was asked to review a few polishes :] My swatch and review of these 2 are after the jump!

I can't seem to get enough of this polish color, I don't think anyone can haha! Spring fling is a "medium opacity creme polish speckled with hints of pastel green and aqua, flashes of white diamond and bright pink metallic glitter. Scattered throughout are soft flecks of neon green". The neon glitter really makes this polish for me! That and the small, tiny random specks of iridescent glitter. It kind of reminds me of a more opaque version 365 DOC Frolicking I swatched the other day haha, although I seemingly think everything looks like that polish lmfao.
I did 3 coats of Spring Fling, no undies. I added a coat of Seche Vite because it was a little thirsty lookin'. Application was great, none of the glitter was hard to get out. Dry time was good, I'd personally give a little bit of dry time between the coats to avoid slippage. Otherwise, no complaints!

I'm not a fan of white-based polishes, I think I've made that clear a million times lmfao. I think it has to do with the copious amounts of white-based rainbow glitter polishes, blech. However, every now and then I come across one I don't mind too much! Andddddd this might be one of them haha I'm still on the fence! Sparkleshell is "pale ivory creme with a scattering of brown, golden holo and periwinkle hexes in various sizes". Ivory creme is right, this isn't quitteeee stark white. Loving the colors of glitter though!
I did 2 coats of Sparkleshell, no undies. Again, added top coat although it wasn't as thirsty. I was pleasantly surprised it only took 2 coats, I was expecting 3! As with any white-based polish, from any company/indie I'd keep dry time in mind. The longer you wait between coats, the better off you will be. Personally, I just slap Seche Vite on and call it a day because I'm impatient :P
Well, mostly I saw my unicorn stamp and couldn't say no because I'm weak like that lmfao. But I do think all these stamps play really well with this polish :]
Here are the plates I used:
Flowers: Winstonia W110, Stars Cheeky CH51, Sparkles Nailz Craze NC 02, Sweets/unicorm Winstonia W117 |
I'm pretty pleased with these polishes. I can understand the hype around them, they are quite unique and I love that in an indie! While pulling descriptions I was OOHing and AHHing over Sea Pony and Tricky Treats. *sigh* maybe one day! Haha
See ya Monday!
