Lace and Lacquers: ZOYA: Spring 2014 Awaken Collection [Dot, Cole, Brooklyn, Dillon, Rebel & Cole]

Zoya 2014 Spring Awaken Collection

Today I have the 2014 Spring Awake Collection. This collection is a combo of 4 shimmers and 2 creme polishes. Not all of these are up my alley, but you might find something you like! :] Check out my swatch and review after the jump.

Zoya Dot

Dot is a "pink petal cream". It's a rebottled color from fashion designer Zang Toi's SS14 Collection. I don't find this color unique but besides BRIGHTASSHOT pink, it's the only type of pink I can stand hahaha.

I did 3 coats of Dot, 4 coats on some nails. There was a bit of balding so the 4th coat was needed. Too many bends in my nails cause balding somtimes :(. ONE DAY I will come across a 2 coater light pink. Anyways! The application was great and no issues with dry time even with the 4 layers.

Zoya Cole

Cole is a "peach whisper cream".... What does that mean?? lmfao. This is a peachy orange creme. I don't like this color on me at all :( it's pretty, just not for me. Maybe I'll pair it with something, teal is calling for a combo! This is another rebottled color. It was made for Peter Som's SS14 Collection.

I did 3 coats of Cole. Application was similar to Dot, with no issues (except I didn't need 4 coats on some nails haha). Dry time also didn't give me any problems.

Zoya Brooklyn

This is Brooklyn, a "full-coverage, white-gold shimmer metallic". Not a fan of this shade of gold on me, but I always like using this color for accents. It was a little on the streaky side. I tried to smooth it out but I couldn't. I remember a few years ago about smoothing streaky polishes out with a sponge, never tried it though!

I did 3 coats of Brooklyn. There were no issues with application, besides the streaks at the end. I didn't run into any dry time issues.

Zoya Dillon

OOOOOHAHHHH let's get this swatch party started! Zoya Dillon is a "green mint metallic with a silver shimmer". Right after I was done with the last coat I exclaimed "IT'S OPI MERMAID TEARS ON CRACK!" Good, sparkly crack. Dat macro.

I did 3 coats of Dillion. I didn't have any issues in the application or dry time departments.

Zoya Rebel

Rebel is a "blue sky metallic with a silver shimmer". If green isn't your thing, there is a blue and purple similar to it in this collection. Such a great sparkly blue polish! I love the shade of blue, too :D

I did 3 coats of Rebel. No issues with application, it was smooth and without issues. Dry time was also without any issues.

Zoya Hudson

Hudson is a "purple orchid metallic with a silver shimmer". This is a beautiful shade of purple, shimmer or not! The shimmer just makes it 100x better. I kinda wish all the shades had this super pretty silver shimmer, not just the last 3.

I did 3 coats of Hudson. I again didn't have any applications, it was smooth and easy. No dry time issues either :]

Zoya Awaken Collection

If you couldn't tell the last 3 shimmers are my favorite, especially Dillon and Hudson! The first 3 are slightly unimpressive to me and (besides the pink) just aren't my thangggg.
