So I've had this Spring Fling VoxBox from Influenster for a hot minute. I posted my First Impressions about 2 weeks ago if you missed that - here it is! :D I love reviewing these because it gives me a chance to review items I don't usually review on this blog. So, ladies and gents, without further adieu... I present you my review of the Spring Fling VoxBox!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Mascara is meant to create a thicker, fuller, fanned out, wide-eyed, clumpless lashes for 60s inspired look.
While I thought the brush and the bottle were cool looking, I didn't think the brush was easy to get the inner lashes with. The formula was clumpless and I liked the look of my lashes with just 1 coat. My issue was that it kept flaking off into my eyes and onto my cheeks. So this mascara is a no go for me!

Nivea's Skin Firming Hydration Lotion claims that in "as little as 2 weeks, you'll see firmer, more toned skin".
LOL NO GUYS it didn't give me abs. *sigh* I can dream right? I applied this to the back and inside of my legs for 2 week. While I saw others on Instagram saying they saw improvement, I didn't see any improvement in terms of my thigh jiggle. :[ Maybe I was expecting too much? I did LOVE the smell of this lotion though!
I dont think I would repurchase it for the simple fact I already use one different lotion for my hands/feet... another lotion for the rest of my body. I already feel like that's too many steps to add lotion #3 into the mix. Maybe if I saw improvement...

| Peach Pie Car Fresher from the Labor Day Movie |
I know nothing about the Labor Day Movie hahah I've seen Influenster send out many emails about it, and to judge a movie by it's movie poster... it doesn't look like somethin' I'd like to watch. I like comedies and action movies, not movies that make me feel weird feelings that I don't like to deal with LOL. Plus I can't sit that long through a movie... The peach pie scent wasn't for me. If you saw my First Impressions vid., I said I was going to use it to make Husband's car smell less like butt. It lost scent before I got to try hahaha oh well! C'est la vie!

These are new line of tampons from Playtex, the Sport Fresh Balance with Odor Shield techonology. It is specifically designed to "neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with a 360* design for Sport Level Protection".
I can't report on how these worked because #1 No period and #2 I don't feel comfortable putting scented objects in my hoo-hah. Not my thing. They did smell lovely though LOL Can I get an air freshener in this scent, Playtex?

I was most excited for this object! This is the Softlips Cube. It combines 5 in 1 (hydrate, replenish, smooth, protect and add shine) lip care in an advanced formula in "innovative new cube-shaped packaging". I remember seeing a blog post on Nouveau Cheap about this adorable lip gloss Cube from Softlips.
The scent I got was pomegranate blueberry. It wasn't a scent for me, I prefer minty or no scent when it comes to lip balm. I really liked how smooth and long lasting the formula was. I enjoyed using it until... the sphere snapped off while I was applying it. I'm not sure if its because the balm is soft... or that and a combo of 80 degree weather and no A/C usage because I'm a cheapskate? I still use it, just VERRRRRYYY carefully. I've thought of grabbing a lighter and playing Bob the Builder with it.
TL;DR - I would repurchase this in another scent. Hopefully it's just user error for the breakage.

My soft lips cube is in one piece, so it was either a bum one or the warm weather. I haven't been careful with how much pressure I use, and no issue like yours. I don't blame you for still using it - I'd try to melt it back together too!!
ReplyDeleteThe whole faux nails part of the post cracked me up. Since the pie air freshener failed (is that referring to the 2013 movie with Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin??), and the tampons are scented....would your husband mind much if you hung tampons in his vehicle? :D
Sorry I missed the Wikipedia link to the movie info before....curious why a promotional item to a year old movie is included....
