Sally Hansen Color Foils (L->R) Rose Copper, Pink Platinum, Titanium Flush,
Liquid Gold and Yellow Gold |
Hi friends! Today I'm super stoked to share a few Sally Hansen Color Foil polishes with you. I don't know about y'all but I was so excited for this collection. 1) Because they're amazingly awesome 2) They remind me of Sally Hansen Chrome polishes I had when I was younger haha. Check out the first half of the Color Foil Collection after the jump!

Rose Copper is a super pretty rose gold foil polish. I didn't think I'd like this on me to be honest, but it grew on me! I did 2 coats of Rose Copper, no issues in the application or dry time department.

THIS color reminds me of the Chrome polish I had oh-so-many years ago when I was around middle school age! Pink Plantinum is a light pink foil polish. I did 2 coats of Pink Platinum. Application and dry time were great.

Titanium Flush is a is a pink, magenta foil polish. I like the color saturation of this polish. (Just stop listening to me hahaha). I did 2 coats of Titanium Flush. Application and dry time were without problems.

Liquid Gold is your typical gold foil polish. I see myself getting a lot of use out of this polish for details in nail art! I did 2 coats of Liquid Gold. No issues in the application or dry time department.

Yellow Gold is a bright yellow gold foil polish. I didn't think I'd like this one either but I actually think the color is a lot of fun! I did 2 coats of Yellow Gold. Problems with dry time and application? There were none! (FYI If you're looking for Yellow Gold, don't bother going to Target. For some reason they don't carry this shade...)

I know a lot of people were excited to use these foil polishes to stamp with. These types of polishes are always great to stamp with because they show up so nicely! I used a stamp over black, with each Color Foil polish in this post, to give you an idea how well they stamp. They look pretty good, huh?! I recommend working FAST. These polishes already dry quickly, and when they're scraped into a thin layer they dry even faster. So keep that in mind! Besides that, I think they're fun for stamping! There was also no smearing when I added Seche Vite over the stamping job.
I didn't go into too much detail about the application or dry time of these polishes, mostly because they are all the same. I'll address that here. Application was smooth, easy to work with and quite opaque in a single coat. Upon application you
will see brush strokes but they seem to smooth out as the polish dries (WHEW!). There are some tiny bald spots which make a 2nd coat necessary. Dry time was quick! I always love foil polishes because of how quick they dry hahah. But as I addressed above, that makes stamping difficult - so move fast!
I would shake these polishes up pretty darn well before you use them. (I'm sure someone will come after me for this but...) I mean SHAKE them, I tried rolling them in my hand and it was a no go. I had these sitting on my desk for about 3 weeks. When I went to apply these polishes without shaking/when I rolled them in my hands, the foil base and the color separated when you applied it on the nail... meaning you'd have to spread the crap out of them on your nail (making the polish thick and difficult to work with) or your polish won't be too colorful LOL. Take my advice or not, but that's just my 2 cents!
I realize, yes I need/these need a ridge filling base coat. I don't have one - so I probably need to get one. Well I probably won't because it doesn't bother me that much hahah.
Stay tuned for the greens, blues, and purples! ALSO, I was at my Target yesterday and I saw ALL their Sally Hansen Color Foils on
clearance for about $4.50/each. Hopefully you can score that deal, paying $8 a Sally Hansen polish kinda sucks haha (But this collection is worth the extra dough!)
Have a good one!
Some of these polishes were sent for review. Others were purchased by me. My opinions of the brand are my own and are
not influenced in any way. Please read the disclaimer tab for more

I really hope that they'll find their way to Germany as well because they look stunning! Kiko offered some time ago chrome polishes as well but I wasn't 100% happy with them while the SH ones are looking stunning!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! These are awesome. Good luck <3
DeleteI bought Leaden Lilac and Purple Alloy first then I bought Minted Metal yesterday on clearance. I'm wearing Leaden Lilac right now and I'm pretty happy that adding a top coat doesn't really affect the polish in a harsh way. I noticed that the top coat makes the polish a little less reflective but it's still reflective afterwards. Love your stamping!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find my TC while swatching these, so I'm glad to hear that! :D
DeleteI love your macros of these. So neat!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I took them out of habit and thought they looked pretty awesome so I HAD to share them :] Glad you liked them!
DeleteIf anyone is still interested in picking any of these up for cheap, Target has them on clearance right now for two dollars each. I picked up the silver one today, because thats all that was left, but every store is different
