WET N WILD: Summer 2014 Limited Edition Megalast Collection [Beat of a Generation, Love Me Some Muscles, A Venice Day, Contact High, Coast to Coast, & Trippin' on the Boardwalk]

Wet n Wild Summer 2014 LE Megalast Collection (L->R)
Beat of a Generation, Love Me Some Muscles, A Venice Day,
Contact High, Coast to Coast, and Trippin' on the Boardwalk

So, Wet n Wild Megalast polishes are my favorite drug store brand polishes. I love the formulas and I love how they are coming out with LE collections more often! This is the Summer 2014 LE Megalast Collection. It might seem late to swatch these, but I was hunting for the Fall LEs and I still saw these at my local Walgreen's/CVS stores so I figured it was still worth sharing ;] Check out my swatches after the jump!

Wet n Wild Beat of a Generation
Wet n Wild Beat of a Generation

Beat of a Generation is a medium pink crelly. I feel like a pink like this polish is a staple in many companies' collections, but they're usually totally cremes. I love crellies because they give them that little bit of squishy shininess!

I did 3 coats of Beat of a Generation. No application issues, easy to work with. Dry time gave me no problems either.

Wet n Wild Love Me Some Muscles
Wet n Wild Love Me Some Muscles

Love Me Some Muscles is a coral crelly! I remember hearing on a talk show many, many years ago that coral is the most universally flattering color for every skin tone. Not to mention, corals look even more awesome with a tan! Great summer color, for sure.

This crelly was a little on the sheer side in comparison to it's pink sister. I did 4 coats of Love Me Some Muscles. Application was great, smooth, easy to work with. I waited between coats to ensure a dry mani, better safe than sorry!

Wet n Wild A Venice Day
Wet n Wild A Venice Day

A Veice Day is a bright, sunny yellow crelly. Such a gorgeous shade of yellow, thankfully this one doesn't turn my hands super red - so it can stay in the collection LOL The only downfall to this one is that it is pretty darn sheer.

I did 4 coats of A Venice Day. I think a 5th coat would of sealed the deal, but I draw the line at 5, probably will use it to make sammiches or I'll layer over white, we'll see. Dry time was good, but again I waited between coats. Yellows always seem to take more time to dry and being a yellow crelly? I wasn't takin' chances!
Wet n Wild Contact High
Wet n Wild Contact High

High Contact is a green jelly. Unlike the ones above, this one is super squishy and sheer and landed itself in the jelly club. Despite that, this is an awesome shade of green! This will have to be another sammicher, too much visible nail line for my tastes.

I did 4 coats of Contact High. It again was the most sheer, so it took quite a few coats to build up. I stopped at 4, because I ain't got time for 5 coats! Application was great, no issues and easy to work with. Dry time was good when waiting between coats while layering.

Wet n Wild Coast to Coast
Wet n Wild Coast to Coast

First off - this is gorgeous. This is Coast to Coast, a shimmery, bright blue, crelly. It's probably not as bright as my camera picked up on, but it's colbatish. This is the only one with any sort of shimmer, which is a nice touch! I feel like I have a color similar to this, but not identical.

I did 2 coats of Coast to Coast, the only one I could get away with 2 coats. Can we get more 2 coaters, thanks. Application was flawless. Dry time also gave me no issues at all.

Wet n Wild Trippin' on the Boardwalk
Wet n Wild Trippin' on the Boardwalk

Last but not least is Trippin' on the Boardwalk! To be honest this is my top favorite from this collection. This is a lavender crelly. It's vivid and totally gorgeous. The crelly finish makes this one different from similar purples in my collection. I love it.

I did 3 coats of Trippin on the Boardwalk. I felt like out of all the polishes this one had the best formula. They were all nice to work with but this one was perfection. It gave me no issues upon application or dry time. Happy camper, over here!

Wet n Wild Trippin' on the Boardwalk and Color Club Harp On It

I used some You Polish chevron decals and did some accent nails using Color Club Harp On It, they're gorgeous together!

I purchased these Summer LEs from Walgreen's about 2 months ago. But in the last week I've seen them at Walgreen's and CVS while on my hunt for the Fall LEs. My top pick is Trippin' on the Boardwalk and Coast to Coast.
