Barielle Jetsetter Collection (L->R) Kiss Me Kate, Autumn in Seoul, Irish Eyes, Rain in Spain, Gondola Ride, and Midnight in Paris |
Hi friends! Today I have Barielle's 2nd fall collection for 2014, The Jetsetter Collection! I personally like this collection more than the Me Collection (-> I & II). Now that it's getting less than 90 degrees in San Diego, this collection makes it feel like fall ;] Check out these lacquers after the jump!
Barielle Kiss Me Kate |
Barielle Kiss Me Kate |
Kiss Me Kate is a "creamy beige/pink". I really like this color! I didn't think I would like it, I pulled it out of the box and was like ughhhhhnudesssss. But the touch of pink in this polish doesn't make the redness in my hands look prominent, like most nude shades do.
I did 2 coats of Kiss Me Kate. The application was smooth and easy to work with. It build up nice and opaque, just what I like! No dry time issues.
Barielle Autumn in Seoul |

Nextttt! Autumn in Seoul is a "deep, copper shimmer". Great fall color! Again, another polish that I was iffy about but ended up liking. I think it's because it's filled with pretty shimmer.
I did 3 coats of Autumn in Seoul. It was a little on the thin side so a 3rd coat was necessary to even it out. Application was smooth and dry time was good so 3 coats wasn't a hassle or anything.
Barielle Irish Eyes |
Barielle Irish Eyes |
Irish Eyes is a "creamy, moss green", a nice muted green. This is one of 2 greens in the collection. You guys know I love my greens, but these just didn't hit the spot for me this go around.
I did 2 coats of Irish Eyes. Application was smooth, easy to work with and built up nicely. No problems with dry time.
Barielle Rain in Spain |
Barielle Rain in Spain |
Rain in Spain is a "creamy, light periwinkle". Unexpected but gorgeous break from the dark and muddled fall colors . This is so soft and light, it's almost like a palate cleanser for me! Like a breath of fresh air!
I did 2 coats of Rain in Spain. The formula was great and opaque. Most lighter blues I run into have a thinner formula, but this one was awesome. Dry time was also spot on with no complaints.
Barielle Gondola Ride |
Barielle Gondola Ride |
Gondola Ride is a "creamy, sage green". Here's the second green in the collection. Again, just not feelin' these greens! IFFF I had to choose one out of the two, I'd choose this one. It's a more unique color to me :]
I did 3 coats of Gondola Ride. Could of got away with 2 coats, but it was a little uneven and required a 3rd. No complaints about the formula's application or dry time.
Barielle Midnight in Paris |

Barielle Midnight in Paris |
Midnight in Paris is a "creamy, midnight blue/purple". This one... this oneeeee... stole my damn heart. This polish is GORGEOUS! It's a stunning deep, dark purpley-navy with just a tad bit of shimmer. The color is just insanely perfect, unlike any other dark blues and navys in my collection.
I did 2 coats of Midnight in Paris. The formula was on the thin side, but was nicely opaque to get away with 2 coats. Application was flawless - smooth and easy to work with. No complaints from me about dry time, this one probably dried the quickest actually.
Barielle nail art with Kiss Me Kate and Midnight in Paris |
I saw this style manicure on Pinterest, lord knows where! It was supposed to look like werewolf nails, but I was like "HEY! This would be a cool way to get the stiletto look without mutilating my nails" lmfao. I thought this would be fun to do with Kiss Me Kate and Midnight in Paris. What do ya'll think? I really like it! Next time, I will put more work into finding my striping tape :[ but this will do!
So there ya go! My top picks are Rain in Spain and Midnight in Paris. What are yours? BYYYY THE WAYYYYY, Barielle's website is offering a free nail strengthener cream through tonight! :]
Happy Hump Day my baes! (I just used that word for the first time in my life. It was awkward.)
I love the shimmer and depth of Midnight in Paris - and your nail art :)
