Deborah Lippmann Sexyback Lip And Nail Duet |
Today's Forget Me Not Friday posts features the Sexy Back lip and nail duet from Deborah Lippmann. I won this from a giveaway by
Painted Ladies at the end of last year sometime. I decided it would be a fun post, so let's get on with it!

I don't know why but this packaging makes me want to stare at it forever LOL I don't own/buy many packaged makeup sets like this. It's so simple and pretty to look at, very clean.

Please make a huge sticky note I know nothing about lipstick besides I put it on my lips, Miranda Sings wears it, and my friend Hannah has a million nude shades. I probably don't even know if a color looks awful on me LOL. I also didn't know how great (sarcasm) and spotty my skin looks because I never take pictures of it LMFAO. Let's pretend they're cute little freckles and not sun damage, k?
Anyways, this is the Sexyback lipstick in the duet. I thought it was going to be some creamy, opaque lip color looking at the lipstick. Not like I know the differences in finishes by looking at a lipstick in the tube LOL it was just a hunch. I was wrong, it was a sticky (kinda like a lip gloss), very glossy, semi sheer finish (is that a thing with lisstick?) fuchsia pink. It wasn't as bright as it was in the tube, but whatever, it looked alright on me and that's all that matters in my book.
Lets go onto something I know what the hell I'm talking about, less awkward to read lmfao.

Matching the lipstick, the Deborah Lippmann Sexyback mini nail polish is a beautiful shade fuschia with a creme finish. It's a great color to wear all year round, a very pretty and classy nail color. I'm currently wearing it on my toes because I enjoyed it so much! I feel like I can see almost anyone being able to pull this color off.
I did 2 coats of Sexyback. I've never used a Deborah Lippmann creme nail color before, but I was quite impressed with it. It had a great application and awesome opaque coats. The dry time was perfect and I can't complain about it at all. If these polishes weren't so pricey to me, I'd buy more to see if all the cremes are as great.
If you'd like to purchase the Sexyback Duet, you can find it on Deborah Lippmann's website -
here. I think it would make a nice, quick, easy gift.
Have a great afternoon!
I won this in a giveaway because I'm a lucky duck. Is that good enough for you, Federal Trade Commission?
