Hi friends! Today I have the brand new Barielle Glitter Mania Collection for Spring 2015. This collection is filled with glitter topper goodness. Barielle's color of the month for April is blue, I've been asked to swatch over blue Barielles. Just a heads up, there's a lot of blue in this post LOL! But check out these fun glitter toppers after the jump.

Confetti is a fun "
multi-colored sprinkled glitter". You'll find matte light orange, light yellow, white, black, sky blue and hot pink hex. I'm kind of
over matte glitter toppers personally, but I really like the unique mix of colors in Confetti!
I did 1 coat of Confetti over Barielle Do Unto Others. I can't speak about the formula, the bottle arrived semi open and really, really goopy and I had to add 3-4 drops of thinner to it. After that though it was good to go LOL! No dry time issues.

Next up is Orange Flame, a shiny metallic orange hex glitter topper. It's so simple but I love it. Maybe it's the SHSU Bearkat in me, but I'm always drawn to metallic orange glitter. I love putting it over such a contrasting color too. This mani kind of looks like a fall mani, but I like it :]
I did 1 coat of Orange Flame over Barielle Cotton Candy. Application was good. Just dipped the brush in once and spread the glitter over my nail with a few brush strokes and BAM. No dry time issues.

Here we have Gemstones. In this one there is aqua micro glitter, small magenta hex and medium holographic silver hex. I feel like this color combo is pretty exhausted in the nail world BUT the size mix makes this one pretty nice and a little different.
I did 1 coat of Gemstones over Barielle Swizzle Stick. No issues with application. It was like the other, just dipped the brush in once and did a few strokes on my nail to spread the glitter around. I'm sure most normal people would add another coat or two LOL but I like the 1 coat. No try time issues.

This is my favorite combo in this swatch set. Barielle Mermaid's Fin is a mix of micro and tiny holographic silver glitter plus medium matte aqua blue glitter. A simple glitter topper but very sparkly with the holo glitter. This would work great over multiple colors!
I did 1 coat of Mermaid's Fin over Barielle Blue Capri. Another one where I dipped the brush in once and then spread the glitter around my nail. No issues and a smooth application. Great dry time.

Last but not least is Pink Princess. Not super unique, but it's a pink glitter topper in medium and small metallic hex. Simple but versatile and a quick way to add some bling to a mani.
I did 1 coat of Pink Princess over First Class Ticket (which is a pain in the buns to photograph). No issues with this one. Just dipped the brush in and spread the glitter around. Easy peasy. No dry time issues.
So there ya have it! An entire collection filled with crazy amounts of glitter LOL. I thought it was super fun. I'm really digging Confetti, how about you? The collection is already on the Barielle website for sale. Want to buy the collection -

This made me more excited to get these swatched. I was feeling uninspired by them.
ReplyDeletebarielle confetti reminds of one the sally hansen xtreme wears from the limited edition rio collection, but i can't think of which one it is.
