Pure Ice (L->R) After Hours, Spitfire, Get in Line, Twinkle
and Frost Finish Matte Top Coat |
Hi guys! Today I have a few polishes from Pure Ice to share with you. These polishes aren't new for this year but they are great, bright, and fun polishes for Spring and Summer. Plus, throw a little bit of matte top coat on them and you have a whole new polish. Check 'em out after the jump.

Pure Ice After Hours |

Pure Ice After Hours |
After Hours is a hot pink creme polish. A staple polish for the spring and summer time that is super flattering, especially with a tan :P
I did 3 coats of After Hours. It had a nice smooth application and a quick dry time. A little unevenness on the 2nd coat so a 3rd coat was required. No issues with this polish though.

Spitfire is gold and silver microglitter and shimmer galore in a sheer pink base. The base is quittteeee sheer, so I feel it's better to use this more as a glitter top coat.
I did 2 coats of Spitfire over After Hours, from above. The application was very easy to work with, smooth and had a decent glitter coverage. If you're wanting more glitter, I feel like you might run into some issues though because of the number of layers. No complaints about dry time.

Pure Ice Get in Line |

Pure Ice Get in Line |
Get in Line is a semi-sheer, but very buildable, shimmery bright aqua blue with strong green flashes. This is absolutely stunning, without a doubt. (Check the matte version below, INSANE.) The aqua blue itself is great but the green flashes take this to the next level.
I did 4 coats of Get in Line. I usually try to shy away from 4 coats and stop at 3, but this dried quickly and gave me no issues in layering. Next time I will try some creme undies though, just makes life easier haha.

Pure Ice Twinkle |

Pure Ice Twinkle |
Twinkle is a coral creme with strong orange-gold shimmer. Thankfully, the shimmer is as apparent on the nail, in every brush stroke, as it is in the bottle. VERY pretty and great for Spring/Summer. Very fun, popping, and sparkly!
I did 2 coats of Twinkle. The application was smooth, opaque, and very easy to work with. No problems with dry time either!

WOW all these polishes worked amazingly well with the Frost Finish Matte Top Coat, don't ya think? The matte finish really brought out the great aspects of all these polishes.
I love how it made Spitfire/After Hours almost look like a polka dot mani. The matte aqua in Get in Line looks AMAZING and it's even better because the green flashes still shine through. The gold shimmer in Twinkle is enhanced all through the nail, it's great.
I did 1 coat of Frost Finish Top Coat over each mani from above. It was easy to apply and dried matte very quickly! If you're looking for a budget friendly matte, this is the one I'd recommend over the others.
These polishes aren't new for this year, hopefully they'll be easier
to find for those who have issues finding the newer collections. :] Which is your favorite? I'm still stuck on Get in Line. Hope you have a great afternoon!
Happy polishing!
