Cutex Twister with SPA Formula Nail Polish Remover |
One of my most popular posts is back from 2012, I compared Cutex Advanced Revival to Zoya's remover. Cutex recently contacted me because they thought my readers would be interested in their Twister with SPA Formula remover. This product is meant to remove hard to remove polish without needing crazy amounts of cotton balls. Check out the product and my review after the jump!
(If you read the Advanced Revival review, pardon the missing pictures. No idea why they aren't there anymore... guess the Internet got hungry and ate them! Or they withered away after 4 years LOL)

Cutex has many different polish remover formulas. (You can compare their formulas here) This Twister features the SPA Formula. The SPA Formula remover is meant for hard to remove polishes, Shellac, and gel polish. In this formula, there is 100% acetone along with a mix of oils to keep nails healthy and beautiful... I've used a few of these polish remover jars in the past, mostly generic versions from Target and CVS. This has a similar composition, except it features BOTH a brush and a sponge in one jar. I really like this idea! It allows you to use this Twister to remove the stubborn glitter with the brush, or simply remove polish with the soft sponge. (Sorry for the awkward picture lmao but that was the best way I could show both sides :P)
I used the Twister to remove my creme polish topped with 2 coats of glitter polish. I first used the scrub brush side to get as much glitter off as a could, then finished cleaning my nail with the sponge side. It took me less than 5 minutes to remove all the polish from my nails. I can only imagine how many freakin' cotton balls I would of went through!
In regards to the SPA Formula: Sadly, I can't say I love this remover formula more than the Advanced Revival formula. It did do a great job at removing glitter polish, I can't complain about that at all. However, I feel like this dried out my skin more than my beloved Advanced Revival formula. The SPA Formula is less drying than 100% acetone, but still leaves my nails and cuticles feeling quite dry. While I'm not too happy about this formula, it's not a deal breaker for me.
I am curious as to how well this would work to remove gel polish... but I hardly wear those. Maybe one day I'll come back to review the removal of gel polish when I feel like putting time into the process of applying gel polish - UGH.
Hey, Cutex! Put the epic Advanced Revival formula into this awesome Twister system and you have a GOLDEN product! Love you lots, Lacey
I honestly think I might dump some Advanced Revival into this container when I run out of the SPA Formula haha. I really enjoyed the dual sided remover system. Plus, it's always nice not to go through so many cotton balls (probably mostly my fault for buying the cheap ones lmao)! Would you try this out in place of your current polish removal method?
Stay polished (or unpolished? LOL),
