Neon Pink Ombre Dotticure

Pin It I know, I know! It's been awhile since I've posted, especially for nail art. Long story short: quit my job, started a new work at home job. So since I'm no longer wasting time sitting in traffic or planning extra drive time, I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things. I know I used to post 5 days a week, I'm going to set myself up for realistic expectations and aim for ONCE a week. :]

Neon Pink Ombre Dotticure Supplies

I've done 2 dotticures in my lifetime. They are one of my favorite types of nail art, simple but still unique with so many color options! I've been waiting to wear some HOT pink polish, but I didn't feel like committing to into 10 bright-ass nails haha. So I thought I'd do a pink dotticure :] Check out my design after the jump!

Base (not pictured, whoops!): Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat.

Dotticure Polishes (dark to light): Color Club Sweet Getaway, Unnamed Color Club light hot pink creme, Zoya Jordan, and Sinful Shine Tutu Thrill.

Tools: 2 dotting tools (4 different sizes) - x-small/small and medium/large ends.

I love doing dotticures over a clear based shimmery type of polish. It gives the illusion of a "clear" nail without being naked, which is especially helpful if you have some stainage goin' on! I wish the unnamed Color Club neon pink polish (2nd darkest) showed up true to color in my pictures though :[ It's just that shade of hot pink that never transfers well! Just take my word for it haha.

The mani came out exactly how I wanted it to, the effect of a bright and fun neon polish without being too in your face. Plus it's so much fun to look at! Reminds me of one of those color blind eye tests, the one with all the little dots and the big number in the middle.
